Safety precautions for axial flow fans

During the installation and maintenance of axial flow fans, strict adherence to electrical safety and high-altitude work regulations is essential to prevent accidents caused by improper operation. Before construction, the equipment power supply must be disconnected, and proper power-off signage must be displayed. Disassembly, wiring, or maintenance of the equipment while it is energized is strictly prohibited to prevent electric shock. When performing high-level installation work on walls or ceilings, stable scaffolding or safety ladders must be erected, and workers must wear complete protective equipment to avoid the risk of falls from heights. During equipment hoisting and transportation, operations must be smooth and stable; dragging or throwing the equipment with excessive force is strictly prohibited to prevent deformation of the machine body and damage to parts. Heavy objects should also be avoided to prevent injuries to construction personnel, ensuring safety and compliance throughout the installation process.

During equipment operation, strict adherence to safety monitoring and inspection requirements is crucial to prevent operation under faulty or improper conditions. Before starting the fan, check that the impeller rotates freely, the machine body is securely fixed, and the wiring is standardized and reliable. Ensure that no debris obstructs the impeller and no bolts are loose before starting the machine. During equipment operation, personnel are strictly prohibited from touching the impeller or moving parts of the machine body. Prolonged standing directly in front of the air vent is also prohibited to prevent clothing or hair from being caught in the fan and causing mechanical injury. If abnormal noises, severe vibrations, overheating, air leakage, or tripping occur during operation, the machine must be stopped immediately and the power disconnected for inspection. The equipment can only be restarted after the fault has been identified and repaired; operation with a malfunction is strictly prohibited.

Special environmental use and daily maintenance must comply with specific safety regulations and be adapted to special operating conditions to prevent safety hazards. In high-risk areas such as flammable and explosive environments, dusty environments, and chemical waste gas environments, explosion-proof axial flow fans of the corresponding rating must be used. The use of ordinary fans is strictly prohibited to prevent sparks from causing combustion or explosion accidents. Daily cleaning, maintenance, and dust removal must be carried out only after the power is completely disconnected and the impeller has come to a complete stop. Regularly check the integrity of the motor insulation, grounding lines, and fixing accessories, and promptly replace any aged or damaged parts. Before restarting equipment that has been out of service for a long time, its electrical and mechanical performance must be fully tested to ensure that the equipment is in good condition, prevent safety issues caused by aging faults, and ensure the long-term safe and stable operation of the equipment.
